Joe Buck making first MLB broadcast booth appearance since 2021 for Cardinals-Cubs battle

Buck and Caray are two of baseball’s legacy names in broadcasting. Buck’s father, Jack Buck, was the long-time voice of the St. Louis Cardinals and also for national broadcasts of baseball’s most prominent showcase games. Caray’s grandfather, Harry Caray, was also a legendary broadcaster for the Cardinals and later for the Chicago Cubs. Harry Caray and Joe Buck were broadcast partners for the Cardinals and are considered two of the best announcers in the history of the game.

Joe Buck first came into prominence as the voice of the St. Louis Cardinals before becoming the Fox Network’s main voice on its baseball coverage. Joe Buck started off working with his father before gaining the opportunity to work on more prominent broadcasts.

He eventually became one of the rare broadcasters who has secured the lead role in both Major League Baseball and the National Football League. Buck has been the top broadcaster in both the World Series and the Super Bowl.
